All of the cats are away, which explains my uncharacteristic responsiveness to comments as of late. My director is out of the office without explanation, meaning he is off sailing his boat. It appears I will have to return all the pants I purchased online as they all turned out to be excessively oversized. The PVC pants were just a tad too large, so I remeasured my waist and discovered it was now 30.25 inches (suggesting either that I am shrinking or thoroughly incompetant when it comes to measuring myself for clothing).
