I seem have thrown out my neck during a pre-lunch foosball tourney. This is most distressing for a number of reasons, but high on the list is that I was doing nothing that strenuous or bizarre when it happened. I had some trouble finding his complex initially, some quirk of how I recorded his driving instructions. I called him on my cellphone and he guided me in from the eleventh floor balcony. In retrospect, I cannot recall how we greeted each other, mostly because I cannot imagine seeing him without sticking my tongue in his mouth.

( But I suppose I am getting ahead of myself. )

Last night was terribly dull, a waste of my Get Out of Jail Free card.

"Guess what [L.] got for Boy Bünd?!?" A. sounded just a little too excited. It's kind of cool how you can hear someone smile over the phone.
"What?" I asked, forgetting for a moment that L. had just returned from England.
"Absinthe!"
Without a pause, I blurted out, "I hear it makes the heart grow fonder."
