"They threw us all in a trench and stuck a monument on top"

Short recap of the last two weeks, if you like that kind of thing.

I haven't been online at all much lately. Darling ikiningyo has been in residence here, and despite the dimensions of my pathetic hovel being about 3 inches shy of a suicide cubicle, its been great. The extreme heat and lack of money can't destroy us, but my Grudd, they've tried. I met the Blue-hair from Belgium on the 4th of July (Turncoat Day - Grr) at Stansted, straight from work, and then... Well the rest is a blur to be honest. Somewhere along the line we got to several nice meals, the Victoria and Albert museum (for that Gothic-Victorian kick), Camden and the Dev, the Castle (cheers to all of you too ;) ), a film, The Coven (thanks to everyone who said hi, again, and to Russel for playing our song, and to Small Paul for requesting more Combo-christ - We had an amazing bloody time. Even Dan, and he ended up with a table on his head after a tangle with Tina x_x), the Castle (again), Camden (again ;)) and everything was good.

However this weekend just gone, we went down to Wiltshire for the whole 'meet the parents' thing. The 3-4 hour drive in the back of a corsa in the stilfing heat (and we're both quite tall remember) was one thing. The fact that we had to listen to System of a Down and Bryan Adams on the was another, but, as we were being given a ride (not a free ride, by the way) we couldn't really complain.

My family, you see... They're not like me. They're Irish (to all the Americans who might be reading, I actually mean Irish, not someone who goes to an Irish theme pub every so often, they come from Ireland, speak irish, live there on and off... Irish, unlike so-called Irish-americans). They never let anyone forget either. But thats not the problem, and although they're hospitable enough, and seem to like Auriane, they're very small-minded and really quite ignorant. I'm twenty five bloody years old, you'd think people would stop asking when I'm going to stop wearing dark clothes, get my hair cut and listen to music that isn't 'just a load of banging'. They think of themselves as some kind of mafia. They collectively have the music and fashion sense of a sun-dried tomato in burberry. They're afraid of anything not on National TV. Really, I could go on for ages about these cretins...

But I'll save you that. I like you, you see :)

I'll type a big long angsty emo-ish post, and give it to some whingy dickheads on some Emo forum, and then they shall consider me their God :|

Anyway, back to reality. Only one more day here with Auriane, and We're going to make the most of it. We *did* have a nice time, while in Wiltshire, at Avebury stone circles in the twilight, but the pics weren't too good. We do apparently have some nice ones from The Coven coming though :)"
