Geeze, whoever designed this dorm had a few technical difficulties, I'm going to take a dozen or so photos tomorrow since mere words do not explain why my room looks so odd or why you have to have a lot of guts to use the showers here.
Anyway, moving up and unpacking took most of my day today, probably because the room is a bit small and I had to move furniture and I do have a lot of stuff. Glad it's up though, but I'm annoyed that A) I don't think I need the carpet B) I don't seem to need either of my mattress pads and C) That I might not have enough room on my desk to use my sewing machine (got used to my huge desk last year although this is more of an extension cord problem). So I could've left a few things at home and I'll probably bring them down come fall break and I need to hit up the poster sale next week since my feng shui poster didn't survive a summer being rolled up and I have no idea what happened to my world map either (gah, I need that thing!).
Thankfully I didn't end up eating dinner by myself, I met up with Angela, a friend of Angela's (whose actually an RA in my dorm, pretty nice guy), and one of my friends from the knitting club, Katie. Had a fun few hours just talking with them, especially since I'd never talked with Katie outside of knitting club but she seemed like a really cool person there.
So, off to bed soon, should get the Ergo Proxy review up tomorrow, the only reason I didn't today is because I'm still reading through old reviews/suchlike (since reading tvtropes alone showed that I missed a few things and I want to make sure I got it all) and they're rather wordy. Oh, and still no sign of roommate, found out when I checked in that this is mainly a freshman dorm and I still need to introduce myself to my RA, hope I'll catch her tomorrow.
