October the 12th: Apparently it's supposed to rain Wednesday and snow Saturday...

Oct 12, 2009 21:14

...um, WTF mate? Glad that I won't be up here Saturday, I don't think I can handle snow before November. Just, yeah, too early, we're gonna have snow until March anyway, lets not be hasty and pace ourselves.
So, thought of more things to bring back from home (specifically a shot glass and a basketball, can't remember if it's mine or Sam's), and since both my math and health class on Wednesday are canceled I need to re-work my bus plan, bit more flexible now but it's still going to involve sitting in the rain for a bit, crap. The snow prediction is really throwing me off though, really glad I'm bringing all my winter junk up! A little worried that I'll be overdressed when I go back home, lol, haven't had that problem since I lived in Cleveland. And in good news I was working on knitting my hat in knitting club today (and it is seriously going to be the biggest most ridiculous hat ever, I think I need to get smaller needles dangit) and after the first row it got a ton easier, feeling much better about my first hat attempt now. And I also found more Beast Player Erin online (CR, only has up to episode 18 and then skips to 32, and since they appear to have no intention of releasing more catch-up episodes until November at least and the series ends in December this calls for serious action), glad about that since I was seriously considering downloading bittorrents at home and then marathoning like mad so I could get if off my computer before I got it back on the university system. Now I just need to make sure I'll erase my download logs of the PH soundtracks, they didn't get me on the last one so I hope I'm good? Yeah, I really don't support downloading music like this but since it's music in Japan (i.e. EXPENSIVE), shipping from Japan (more $$$s), are CDs region locked?, and some of the websites aren't in English.... yeah, I'm learning Japanese now but I am not at the level where even basic conversations are possible. I have a difficult time following the CDs we have. Then again, and this is coming from first-hand experience from the Japanese TA most of those teachers were suffering from huge hangovers when they wrote the book/CDs, certainly explains a few issues. Also apparently they would go onto huge tangents about what the best beer was, the funny thing is that my friend Brea worked in a Japanese restaurant and knew the names of the beers that he rattled off. XD I love that class soooo much~
And finally my roomie not only wants to decorate the 9th floor lobby like the Gryffindor common room but she is also seriously planning with a friend to start a Quidditch team next semester, I am so totally there. Signing off!
