March the 8: Ahhh, it was warm today
NC you are such a strange state. Last Sunday we canceled tech because it was snowing and sleeting. Today I got a small sunburn in the car and it was 75. WTH, on Friday some people really could've lain down outside next to their melting piles of snow, there is absolutely NONE left.
Anyway, we had tech crew today and while I brought my camera along to take photos (photography class, sub-culture assignment) I don't think I got a lot of good ones. Part of the problem was that it was dark enough inside (although it didn't seem dark to me at all) that I had to use my aperture setting which takes really slow photos. I mean, a slow shutter speed which means that everyone moves/my hands shake so they're blurry. :( And some of the colors come out weird, for some reason the purples always come out blue... Also there weren't a lot of students there today. There were some, but it was more parents than kids, and for once there were more boys than girls (usually tech is 2/3 girls to 1/3 boys, apparently even tech is too girly and drama-centric for the guys). So I did a lot of painting. Standing on rolling stages (tech LOVES to make things that roll, it's that much easier for them to move it), standing on ladders painting (well, painting with one hand and holding onto the ladder with another, there wasn't a lot of room to move), painted a dugout TWICE (not the whole thing by myself, but significant parts of it), and the wind caused paint to splatter all over my arms. A little more worried about my shirt but I have faith in oxyclean to get that stuff out. I was so glad that they didn't need me to work on costumes today though, not because I didn't feel like sewing, but because that would've meant I would have to be in the cafeteria, and man was it HOT in there. Everyone was flushed, all the windows were open, so glad that we found a fan or two for the stage (where we were building everything, also got the spray paint scent out of the air).
Well, gonna go and see if I can find some Hetalia, signing off!
