Have you ever wondered how many cars they crash to get that perfect moment for a commercial? I saw this commercial where a car (Of course don't forget: DRIVEN BY A PROFESSIONAL DRIVER is printed in itty-bitty letters at the bottom of the page) was driven down a long, enclosed tunnel and had to avoid large 8x6 metal obstacles that would drop in front of the car, or beside it. The car demonstrated incredible handling, and oooh at the end when the two large obstacles came together and blocked the path... what did the car do? Showed off it's amazing brakes on a wet road!
Or have you ever wondered how many times the driver had to practice something over and over again? Anybody remember the spiralling circle in the dirt, viewed from an aerial perspective, that was trying to suggest that the car's handling was so amazing you could do this too?
How about "Gone in 60 Second." How many new cars do you think they destroyed to make that movie?! Hell, I might even go so far as to wonder if Hollywood destroys as many cars as people buy to drive. Bet you anything the cars we see getting wrecked in movies made the company more money demolished, than driven.
