I love your thoughts, they are filled with awesome.

I called Elena turning when in the previous episode Damon said; 'And in sixty years we'll be brothers again like nothing happened', I was all, aww sweet, oh, this isn't good. You make such a great point, and I hadn't even thought about that; Elena turning (or just considering turning) as self sacrifice would've made such a brilliant parallel, it's a shame the writers didn't explore it.

Also, did anyone else think the whole 'Stefan saves Matt and leaves a completely conscious and lucid Elena in the vehicle' thing was so ridiculously contrived?! There are so many other ways that could have gone down, all of which make a shed load more sense than what we actually got.I have ranted so much about this, so much, it's possibly partly due to my pent up 'I don't get why he didn't get the Gilbert's out of the car' which I've been going on about (and think Elena should be more pissed about) since season one. And was really looking forward to find out this ep, and then he does it again. Do ( ... )

To be honest, I spent most of last episode laughing uproariously at the ridiculousness and so I didn't pick up on Elena's imminent date with vampire-dom before the very start of this episode (well, at least not beyond thinking it had to happen soon enough). And on that note, that's why this episode is so far ahead of last week's for me. I honestly thought last week was full of unintentional crack and was basically stupid! Haha ( ... )

Yeah, I get what you mean, I think the crack was a big part of the reason I loved 3.21 so much, I mean Klaus is throwing fence posts, and then I'm somehow rooting for Klaus to steal Elena just to get cracky Klaus/Stefan/Elena roadtrip :D.

Oh yay for me not being the only one who fixates on the elder!Gilberts deaths and Elena's reactions.

I think sometimes Damon lies in the road for rock-bottomness. Sometimes vampires just need to lie in a road for snacks :D. But you're right, nothing will stop the casual chat being stupid.

Ooh, I hadn't thought of Tyler knowing stuff, I only got the idea from the way Tyler was looking at her when he said 'you're strong and you have a beautiful future ahead of you' it felt like such a Klaus thing to me, and also the 'I was just with Bonnie' thing. I guess it's a mystery.

the 'I was just with Bonnie' thing is what made me wonder if it was an arrangement between he and Bonnie... BUT I DO NOT KNOWWWWWWWW!!!! *stamps feet impatiently* I DO NOT like not knowing!!

OMG I was waiting for your reaction post cause I knew you'd be one of the few people who would have reacted to the absence of Katherine as viscerally as I did when I spoiled myself (am 8 eps behind) and read the recap. I only read your comments on the Elena thing.. Don't know why am still pretending to not be spoiled but SRLSY show?

AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH Season 3! And Elena! And her turning! And seriously where the fuck was Katherine!?! Let down show. So in my semi-spoiled but not yet watched head canon, it's a twist and it was Katherine (she spirited Elena away at some point in the process). Anyone and everyone can feel free to write that fix it fic.

The lack of Katherine in this whole season has been A TRAVESTY OF THE WORST KIND. SERIOUSLY.

And yes, fix-it fic!! Let it exist!

I limit the reviews I read these days because I've found that my opinions are rarely anyone else's opinions, and also I just couldn't bring myself to CARE enough about most of the recent episodes to go searching for them. But it's interesting to know that lots of people have had lots of things to say!

And yes, Kat. AN UNACCEPTABLE ABSENTEE.

It's been a while since I've had the energy to write one of these! Typically it's easier to watch the ep, pop over to your journal and then just agree with everything you have to say! Haha!!!

Katherine is my Queen. I will forever lament her lack of screentime.

WHY DIDN'T SHE STICK KLAUS IN A SALVATORE. OR MATT. I really want to believe that Tyler is in on this plan, but the more I think about it, the more I realise he no doubt isn't :(

He once catapulted Elena to the top of a Ferris wheel! OH LORD!!! I'd managed to forget this scene of television actually existed! THANKS FOR THE TIMELY LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

I also worry about Nina/Nina scenes and how they inevitably lead to less Queen Kat :( My solution? Kat/Damon scenes!! Kat/Rebekah scenes!! Kat/Elijah scenes!!! Kat/Jeremy scenes!!!! Even Kat/Stefan scenes!!!!!
