I made in this morning back from the show in Rock Island, Illinois. The faire was pretty nice. It is very small as it is only its second year. The joust show was definitely what was bringing in the crowd as they would file out at the end of our last show. Overall the weekend was fantastic. I got to ride in a show for the first time. We learned last night that the Pittsburgh festival that I have visited every Labor Day weekend since 2002 is shutting down. The festival is actually up for sale so it could return at some point. I will miss going up there to visit ( Read more... )

This past Sunday, May 28th, a very special event happened at 4:00 pm. One of our own, Thomas, got married on the Bazaar Stage. It was a very nice ceremony with the cast in attendance. I wanted to take a moment and congratulate him and share a picture from the wedding with everyone.

Every Sunday it has rained in faire. Today there was a downpour for about 30 minutes. It was so much so that we had to cancel the first chess match. Desite that, it was a fun day. Cast party was a fun time. We had a good turnout of cast, vendors and stage acts and everyonw was having fun. duccubus brought me a present of a "crazy monkey" who I named Maurice. When you pressed his hand he would begin to make noise and vibrate. We promptly had people posing with him and I have included some of the pictures from that.

I have to say that I am in a really good mood this morning. The events of yesterday have seriously lowered my inherent stress level. And after the meeting I got a free dinner last night.
