day 7-8 Vicenza
Well, the last two days have been break days after six days of constant travel. We arrived at Vicenza around noon and headed to the military base here. It was nice to have some cheap American fast food and relax at the base. Well, we were only going to spend a few hours here, but my dear brother managed to leave his money belt in the bathroom and couldn't find it. We spent about 4 hours talking to secuirty, mps, custodians and everyone we could. Well, they ended up finding it since it was turned into the Italian authorities who had left for the day. We therfore came back the next day and picked it up. Amazingly all his money was still in the pouch! He got very lucky. Since that ordeal made our relaxation day a little more stressful we decided to do just a little bit of sightseeing, come back to the base,and just relax at the library and internet station at the USO. Tomorrow we head to Naples where we will do a day trip, and then fly into Barcelona that night. It is about time to say farewell to Italy.
