Day 9-10 Milan/Barcelona
I guess I will do another combined days post. Nothing much exciting during our visit to Milan. Milan has a very impressive cathedral, some very expensive shops, and not much else. We ended up going to the airport really early since we were bored sick of the place. Anyway, Barcelona turned out to be much better. A city with history and outstanding climate combined to make this one of the best days of the trip. Today started a bit later since we slept in after getting in at around 0200 in the morning. After finally waking up we decided to splurge a little and spend 19 euro on a bus tour. It was some of the best money we spent. The bus tour took us literaly everywhere and took almost all day. The highlight of the trip was seeing the unfinished Gaudi cathedral la Sagrada Familia. It was so completly different from other churchs and just spectacular even in its unfinished state. I am going have to come back in 20 years when it is done and see it in its full glory. The other Gaudi architecture was also really intersting. I´m generally not a fan of modernism, but for some reason I like Gaudi.
