Unpopular Opinions
Opinions are like assholes. Most people have one, are one or both are applicable. Unlike most, my opinions are based on fact and are defensible. If your logic is sound, my opinion can be changed.
Bill Cosby
Throw that fucker back in jail and lose the key. This was not a win for black America. It was a slap in the face to women and justice. He confessed. He's guilty. We should have left him to rot and punished the police officers that broke the rules.
Donnie Baby
Lock Trump up and toss the key as well. He was found guilty of all 34 charges. That's just the first trial. This is not a political grudge. This conviction alone is enough to bar him from running for election. All the states should strip him from their ballot and ignore the governmental complaints that arise from it. He's also a prove cheat, liar and has more lawsuits against him than all the other presidents in history combined. Why you would want him back is beyond me, especially since he's also responsible for the COVID death toll being has high as it is.
Congress
We need term limits, continuing education and a code of ethics. The are people that have been in office longer than I've been breathing. Terms should be five years, two term maximum. We also have people in charge of committees that have no idea what they're talking about. We've had senators and representatives asking questions about technology that a five year old could answer and they aren't accepting the answers their getting. Read a fucking book or resign.
Too many of our politicians have outside financial interests. That needs to stop. Rules need to be put in place and they need to be rigidly enforced. Here's a rule that would do wonders: Your government salary cannot exceed the median income of the state that you represent.
Police
Mandatory psych evaluations, anger management training and mental health training. Failure or refusal to complete any of these results in immediate termination of employment.
Minimum Wage
Federal minimum wage should be increased to $30hr. Why? Many companies, in the telephone customer service field, are offering $30+ an hour to start. Businesses should not be allowed to raise prices to compensate. Why? Most business and CEO's make far too much money already. Raising the minimum wage will not drive them to the poor house, regardless of what they would like you to believe.
Facts
Facts are arrived at by using the scientific method. Look it up. There is no such thing as alternate facts. That term was made up by the Trump administration. It's as idiotic as believing the world is flat in the face of all of the evidence to the contrary.
Religion
You have the right to believe in whatever divine being you choose. Keep your belief to yourself. Trying to shove it down my throat will not end well for you. Logic is my friend and not yours. I've studied scripture and I haven't restricted myself to the bible. I probably know more that your church leaders do. Most church leaders don't like talking to me because I ask hard questions. Trust me. Keep your beliefs to yourself unless I ask. You'll sleep better, if nothing else.
School Meals
All school meals should be funded by the state and free of charge to the families. There is no acceptable excuse for children going hungry at school. This is not up for debate.
Narcissism
Go look up narcissistic behavior for details. This isn't a psychology paper. Too many people are posting and complaining about narcissism. In the end, it's all about freedom of choice. If you're free to choose then so is everyone else. If you know someone who is with a narcissist, your job is to shut the fuck up and support them. Family member or friend, it doesn't matter what you feel or think about it. You don't get to impose your choices on anyone else. They won't listen to you anyway so just be a person they can trust if or when they come to you.
This is a hot topic for me because I lost someone I love because of my prior attitude. I've loved her for 20+ years and now we don't talk beyond Facecrack likes. If you don't support your family and friends properly, you'll lose them. Push your own opinions hard enough and your person will cut off contact or the narcissist will make them do it. Either way the result is the same. You didn't shut the fuck up and therefore you no longer have them in your life.
It was a hard lesson to learn. Sadly, it was the only way I could learn it and have it stick. I don't know if there's a way back. It's not my choice and I have to live with that. When I do write about narcissism, I always include my experience. It's a promise to do better as well as my penance for fucking up.

Remember, everyone has opinions. Having them doesn't mean you're right. You should be prepared to defend your opinions calmly and logically. If you're not or you refuse to, shut the fuck up and let the adults converse.
