Win or Lose? WIN!
Today, I locked myself out of the house.
I spent 2 hours in the rain sitting on the front porch waiting for someone, anyone, to come home.
I was BAREFOOT. And I had no coat. It SUCKED.
But, I finally got back inside.
Then, I went over to Kurt's to play Magic: The Gathering. I was initally going to take the bus or call a cab, but I missed my bus and the cab never showed up. So I decided to drive, since it was POURING rain. I parked, and walked the two blocks to Kurt's place...
It was fun, I am still learning to play but I was able to beat Kurt at the game for the first time...
And then when I walked back to my car, to go home...... MY CAR WASN'T THERE.
I freaked out.
Finally, Kurt helped me sort out that my car had been towed, and that I'd unknowingly blocked someone's driveway, and he drove me down to the impound to pick my car up. And gave me an umbrella. He is a good friend. I think I'd have gone home a long time ago if he hadn't been here to give me the support and occasional help I've needed.
I drove home and couldn't find a parking spot, so I had to park like five blocks away... But at least I had an umbrella!
Now, finally, I'm home, and I have to work tomorrow.
BLEH.
I lose twice - locked out, car towed... but I win in the long run...
Because I got it all handled. Yay! :)
