What a fun day to be British! My mother watched some of the wedding while I was in the room on my computer, and everyone looked happy and smashing. They are a super adorable couple, I wish many happy things upon them.
It is also, flist, my ten year lj anniversary, which is so crazy pants to me that I can't even stand it. Going back to look at my old entries sometimes makes me cringe and sometimes makes me laugh and sometimes makes me want to reach through the computer screen and tell me that things will be fine and they will get better. I have had some of you since the very, very beginning, and some of you for way, way shorter than that, but all of you are awesome and fantastic and part of the reason that I love this community so very much. So thanks for sharing a decade of my life with me.
And in honor of my anniversary, you get my oldest icon. I've just searched all through most of August and September of 2002, but I can't find it's introductory post. Anyhoodle, it came out of the first phone conversation that incredulity and I ever had when I first got a cell phone my senior year of college.
And now part of me wishes I'd shelled out the money for a permanent account the last time they were on sale, because it would have paid for itself already. Sigh. TEN YEARS, LJ. Ten years of my life you've documented. SO CRAZY PANTS.
