how is the sicky?

So last night, I dreamed I was getting hugged by an old friend, and every time she squeezed me I would get a hot flash, like the feeling after a shiver. And then I woke up to find I actually WAS shivering, even though my skin was hot. Hello, midnight fever. You are so awesome.

Laid abed until 4 am, then I finally admitted defeat, found my thermometer and recorded a nice and steamy 101 temperature, and watched an episode of Doctor Who on my phone. It was TORTUROUS waiting until a more reasonable hour so I could remember to call in sick and find out if my mommy would bring me coffee and soup. (Coffee may be an odd thing to want when you're sick, but it's not like ANYONE ever thinks to bring it to sick people, and it's also not like I wanted an even WORSE headache, is it?)

So far, I've watched enough of the Hangover to know that I'm not going to find it funny (that was about thirty minutes, and I figured if I hadn't laughed thirty minutes in, it was probable that I wasn't going to) and enough of Chris Pine in Carriers to know that that movie is BORING for all it's post-apocalyptic and angsty. So far, the only thing I've finished is Doctor Who episodes and the movie Leap Year with my mother. My poor brain doesn't want to concentrate on things.

So that's been fun.
