1) So at work today I was listening to Tom Waits songs on YouTube (this aids productivity. The office can get quite noisy, and I'm prone to sensory overload; headphones shut stuff out). (I'm really not good at music. The other day I bought my first new album in about a year -- Florence and the Machine's Ceremonials -- and then listened to almost nothing else for a week. There's enjoyment, and then there's fleeting obsession)

Doctor Who Confidential just started playing the Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Heads Will Roll, and my instinctive reaction was: "I miss the days when nobody else listened to them."

What the hell, stuff going mainstream doesn't make it any less awesome, whatever Ariel may say.
