Sydney emerged from lockdown yesterday, with shops, bars & cinemas re-opening & travel restrictions within the Greater Sydney area relaxed - though you still can't 'leave town' & head for regional areas... or interstate, so it's still a bit worse than this time last year when L-SP & I did our roadtrip of a few thousand kilometres within New South ( Read more... )

The Federal government paid me some money! All those hours on hold, on the phone, trying really hard & only twice failing to keep a level tone in my voice seem to have paid off with... not as much as I'd normally earn in a week, but more than I sometimes have in recent months, so I'll declare it satisfactory. We're off shortly to pick up my Grandmother's ashes. She died last year, after a fall in the nursing home she was in & never woke up.
