X-men/Shakespeare thoughts
I was writing down my "to do" list and reread the longer version of my Shakespeare quote:
"The spirit that I have seen may be a devil; And the devil hath the power to assume a pleasing shape". (Hamlet, act II, scene II).
When I first received the challenge, I was reminded of Mystique, especially during the scene in X-2 when she's messing with Logan's head. I wondered if Mystique messed with others.
Reading "Phoenix: End Song" and the old Titans/X-Men crossover, though, Dark Phoenix also comes screaming to mind. Even dead and buried, Jean exerts a powerful influence on her team. Ororo was treated as a goddess at one time, wasn't she? Was Dark Phoenix a bit disappointed in how Ororo used her powers? "You could have been so much more..."
