They've released the first pictures of Brandon Routh as Superman for Superman Returns. The reaction has varied from "Oooh, nice" to "Ugh, no!" I think I'll have to wait to see it in action. Lighting works in magnificent ways after all.
Besides the shot released, MTV.com has a gallery of various set photos, including Routh as Clark with the big dorky glasses. X-men fans will also spot James Marsden near the end. One of Kate Bosworth's websites has put up a similar gallery of off & on screen moments as Lois. And yay, she's a brunette. I don't quite see the "hairstyle straight out of the 1940s" described on MTV. They were unclear on what time period it's taking place...
