New trailer and new fears

New trailer is up for Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths. I'm underwhelmed. I liked the earlier footage better, so I'm just hoping it's just a horrible trailer. But look, Diana, she talks! And merfilly, you might want to watch. Someone you know is President and it ain't Lex.

The one that's making me nervous is Tom Breevort's interview on Who Will Wield the Shield? My hopes for a simple "shake hands and go back to our lives" resolution sounded naive even to me, but we can dream, yeah? One thing is the reading order is "flumoxed" -- Reborn should go first, then Wield, then Siege, but Wield will now ship before Reborn ends.

As for what makes this newish fan nervous, this answer to Bucky's "future":

While he took on the role out of a sense of obligation to Steve's memory, being Captain America has been therapeutic to Bucky, and has allowed him to form relationships with people in the modern era. If you take that away from him, what does he have left? Possibly the very scary realization that he needs to find a way to put his horrible past behind him and find a place for himself in the world of today. As long as Steve was gone, Bucky, like a shark who has to constantly move forwards to stay alive, could sustain himself by simply filling Steve's boots-that gave him a role. Once you take that away from him, it's going to leave a gaping maw in his world.

This makes me wonder if there's a different meaning to the upcoming "Two Americas" arc cited in the #602 solicit. Most people were reading it to include the 1950s Cap, but I'm wondering if it's really more of a shakedown mission between Bucky & Steve. Makes sense, since they really haven't worked together extensively for awhile. Maybe they'll try to do two Caps and realize it won't work?

Artwork for Wield the Shield also suggests I'll get my answers on Steve's reactions to Bucky working Natasha pretty soon now, if it doesn't come up in Reborn.
