My daughter just came home from staying at her friend's house last night. She sits on my bed and goes, "First off, this story does not end with me in trouble."

Uhhhhh. OK?!

She then proceeds to tell me how at her friend's birthday party last night the cops showed up because they were getting too loud.
They basically had everyone gather up all the alcohol and set it on the table and then gave everyone one chance to empty their pockets.
They told the kids that they only had like 20 mins on their shift left and didn't feel like busting everyone, so as long as they stayed quiet and cool and shit then no one would get in trouble. One dude (who Ashley said no one their knew, he just wandered in... yeah, right, whatever Ashley) was the only with drugs and they took him to the bathroom and made him flush it all down the toilet.

Then the cops checked everyone's ID that was over 21 and told everyone else that they didn't exist. The cops did not see anyone under 21 at the party. My daughter, age 19, was the designated driver (she always volunteers because she does not like the taste of alcohol at all - I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE SHE GETS THAT FROM?! CRAZY TALK, I TELL YA!) Anyhoo, they left after she promised she would not let anyone drive who had been drinking.

So... now, the cops leave and they pretty much all sit there staring at the table full of alcohol. Ashley said they were all too afraid to touch it anymore - even those over 21. She said she was cracking up and making jokes because they all kept staring at the door and freaking out. I start laughing now because she's telling me the cops are gone, but they're just sitting there, staring at the table.

So, Ashley goes to me, "Wait! Wait! That's not even the best part!" She then tells me that about 20 minutes later a guy walks in with his German Sheppard, goes up to the table and grabs a beer, popping it open. It's one of the cops that was just there. He lives upstairs. LMAO!!! His drug sniffing dog took a walk through the apartment while he started up some general chit-chat and then about ten minutes later left and told them to keep it down.

This kind of weird and bizarre shit happens to my kid and her friends all the time.
I love hearing her stories. LOL
