Sorry that it took so long for me to post, it was taking forever to download my pictures to photobucket, so I had to do some research to figure out the best way to shrink the image sizes. I'm using imagemagick, which had command line tools that allow geeks like me to automate the process. Automation is your friend.

Anywoo, here is a quick entry just to familiarize you with my everyday surroundings. I'm currently living in a serviced apartment at a building called GardenEast on Queen's Road East in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. A serviced apartment is basically an apartment with cleaning service. People come in every couple of days and straighten up my apartment, and there is also linen service. I try to keeps things as neat as I can to keep them from having to do extra work, but they've done my dishes on several occasions, including today. The apartment itself is 571 square feet with sliding partitions instead of doors between the main living area, the bathroom, and the bedroom. Now on to the pictures...

Here is a picture of my bathroom:

Here is a picture of my bedroom:

Here is a picture of my living room:

And here is a picture of my kitchen:

All images were taken standing about three feet inside my door, except for the one of the bathroom, for which I had to step forward about two feet. There are no doors except the front door, and cabinet and wardrobe doors. There are two built in wardrobes, one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen. The building itself has a convenience store, a gym, and a deck. The deck is a floor-through on the fifth floor, and there is a fence across part of it, behind which is the laundry area; so the laundry "room" is basically open air. The building only started accepting tenants at the beginning of February, and I am the first person who has resided in this room.

Well, that's all I have time for tonight after fooling with all of the picture resizing. Stay tuned for the next episode of "Hong Kong Travelblogue."
