Zipper Weasel is Home! Huzzah!
Trelane is home from the vet. His surgery went very well, according to his doctor. The tumor was "small to medium sized" and on the left adrenal gland (which is the "easy one", apparently. The other one has many more blood vessels). He's got a big incision on his belly and a bunch of staples. But he seems to be VERY happy to be home now.
We have to keep him quiet (how the HECK do you do that with a ferret?) and administer antibiotics and ear drops twice a day. I guess I washed him too soon after the ear mite treatment from the other vet (because he had these huge bloody scabs coming out of his ears and I had to do something) so we're back to ear drops from the ear mite infestation. He goes for his staple removal next Friday.
I'm glad he's going to be OK and I hope this gives him a few years of disease-free life.
