One of the things I've discovered over the past couple of days during brief periods of procrastination was this site:
Spoonflower.com. This place lets you design and create short-run (3 yards [1 meter] or less) fabric.
I've ordered a swatch (an 8" square) of some quilt labels I designed, to see how stuff looks and feels before I commit to making fabric. However, I've been thinking about design and I came up with some really cute cartoon ferrets. And then I decided (because A thought they'd be ultra cute on a shirt) to have some shirts made up for her impending birthday, so I put them up on
zazzle.
I have to figure out how to do a bunch of other critters in this style. The cats I keep designing aren't as cute as the ferrets. I can't decide whether I"m coming out with a clothing line or a fabric line...
If I remember, I have some finished project photos to upload and post tonight. The YEllow Submarine Quilt is done, and the knit coat is also done (it looks great on the hangar, but I look big as a house in it - however, it is nice and snuggly warm)
