more from the armchair quarterback
i watched the dixie chicks concert, they returned to the scene of the crime, and at the encore, MUAHAHAHA!!!! she said the SAME DAMN THING that got in her trouble last time! MUAHAHAHAHA!!! kick ass chix!!!!
Concert over all was good. they did only FIVE of the songs off the new album, went back and reworked a couple of old songs (omg, i WANT THAT version of ready to run!! they rocked it out. didn't sound country at all and it sounded GOOD!) and they toyed with other artists songs, classic rock and such. think it was dylan? they said, but i forgot. LOL!
anyway, started out slow, but they finally got back in the swing of things and remembered how to give a concert during the last half. i think the crowd is hoping for a second encore, but that's not gonna happen. not bad for a buncha mommies who haven't been in public for the past two years. ::snicker:: hope they reup their concert performance in the next few tho, otherwise it's reeeeally not got the energy to make it worth spending a hundred bucks in tix and gas money to get down to arco.
but i don't got the money anyway, so not like i'm really worried about it. i showed my support for the chix and made my political statement of the year when i bought the cd.
anyhow. there's my thoughts. had to share.
