So, umm, I graduated on Friday! That was exciting. Melanie, the girl in my course who was killed last year, graduated posthumously with distinction. Her mother accepted the degree, and it was just about the most heartbreaking thing I have ever seen. I wanted to thank her for coming, but I didn't know if that would help or hurt her. So I just looked at her and smiled. I hope she got some idea of how very full of love my heart was for her.
I planned to do heaps of freelancing this month, but I'm lazy. So I've applied for some jobs that look like fun. I got to interview Khaela Maricich from one of my favourite bands The Blow the other day, so that was awesome. I'm interviewing Tilly and the Wall on Thursday. So I guess I'll treat this month as a bit of a holiday and take things easy before getting serious again next month. Oh, crap, I think I've forgotten to put in my shift preferences for next month. I'll have to chase that up.
Also, I've started doing sit-ups and going for walks and stuff. I'm not going to watch as my body gives out on me, dammit! Although I do love cookies...
