Leave a comment here, and I will:

1) Tell you why I friended you
2) Associate you with a song/movie
3) Tell a random fact about you
4) Tell a first memory about you
5) Ask something I've always wanted to know about you

Like panisdead, who I got this from, I may not answer with all 5 if not all apply.

1- This is rather terrible, but it was when you had the accident. I do believe it was auburnnothenna who asked for people to send you good thoughts, so I poked around to see who you were, and somewhere in there realized your utter awesomeness, and friended you.

3- You...have a sister? Whee, I'm observant!

4- My first comments to you were about fanfiction, I do believe. I want to say it was a Teyla and Rodney piece...something about them dancing?

5- Asides from fandom stuff, what're your hobbies?

Hiya darlin'

1- Because you have a friends only journal, and I was absolutely blown away by your fics and thought, this is a person worth knowing.

2- I think of Salva Nos by Yuki Kajiura. It has a dramatic, sweeping feel to it, but also a very modern twist. (If you'd like, I can see about uploading it somewhere.)

3- You're a redhead. A cutie too!

4- Probably the first fic of yours that I came across. I do believe it was Calligraphy.

5- Did you have any photography training, or are you just naturally that good?

1- Planet Megalodon Wraith Defense Force.

4- After having read the above fic, I rememebered the one line you posted for the flashfic challenge. Because, that was brilliant, and then I could never remember who wrote it, so when you posted the full fic I had a lightbublb moment. It was beautiful. And more proof that I have a one track mind.

5- How into anime/manga are you? Just the one or two series, or a full blown otaku?

1. :D Every time I look at that story I get this warm happy glow and think, "Sharks!4. Thank you. Those two sentences were actually a birthday present for a friend, who wanted people to post two sentences--any two sentences--without explanation in their lj on or around her birthday. I felt a little wary posting them to flashfic ( ... )

Yeah, I've fallen out of my infatuation with Japan, for mainly the same reason.

I'll have to see if anyone around here has Scrapped Princess. I never saw the last bit of Inu Yasha because it dragged out so. And I felt bad for how Miroku and uhm...demon-slayer girl got so sidelined. Have you seen Yami no Matsuei (Descendants of Darkness)? Silly series, but the anime looks gorgeous.

Vampire Game is too cute. Right now I'm really into Saiyuki by Kazuya Minekura. The art takes a while to get used to, and it's definitely better as the series goes on. I also liked Hands Off! by Kasane Katsumoto. Three psychic boys running around having issues but in such a cute art style!

Oh, and for absolute anime crack (as in, my god is it bright and addictive), you might want to check out Ouran Host Club. I don't know that it's been dubbed yet, but what are your thoughts on subtitles?

Me! We can race!

Alas, I have failed the race. But I can take pride in the fact that I have indeed, eventually, answered! (I swear, my lj needs the disclaimer: will reply once in a blue moon.)

1- I think I was on an lj binge, and followed a few links and found you. Read through a few of your entries and was all, "My god! She's brilliant!" and thus, friended. (Dork confession: sometimes I feel like lj is Pokemon--gotta catch 'em all. Bwah ha! You are on my flist, I'll keep you forever!)

2- Something with cellos I think. Not just because I'm hideously biased, but because they have a depth and resonance, while being capable of light and smoothness. (Without getting shrill, like violins.) Kind of...if honey were sound.

3- My word but you're smart. There's always an underlying intelligence in your posts.

4- First memory: Showboat. I know, I know ( ... )

So! Flattered! Wow, that's lovely to hear; thank you. Also, funny story: my sister's autistic, and not coincidentally very into Pokemon. We have this whole elaborate ritual where she gets on the phone and asks me if we can play a quiz, and then we go back and forth giving each other clues like, "I'm thinking of a character whose name rhymes with 'Smash Fetchum.' This character enjoys wearing a red baseball cap and catching them all." I know way, way more about Pokemon than any person should have to ( ... )

Pokemon ftw!

Wow, that sounds really awesome. I can definitely see how it'd be so panic-inducing though--that's a lot of ground to have to cover.

Well, aside from the intro course, I've only taken phonology and syntax. But the field covers pretty much everything; working from phonetics all the way up to syntax and then historical ling and language acquisition--even did a little with animals and language. I know a lot of people who are doubling ling with various speech courses.

Uhm...teach?

Hmmm.. it'll be interesting to see what you come up with, considering I've "known" you for like, barely a month, lol.

How's the fic going? Yes, that fic.

Lol, yeah, I got nothing.

1- Because you friended me? We share a love of X-men/Atlantis?

3- Don't quite know you well enough to answer this one yet. Looking forward to changing that though!

4- Asking me to write more.

5- You're a freshman now? What are you studying?

Sorry. I was afraid that wasn't a universal term, I should've said first-year to begin with. I do hope you're able to get back! I have a friend who had similar problems, but he's back now.

1- Oh, actually there're a couple of X-Men/Atlantis. (Mine was the first! That I've run across at least.) I know trinityofone has a fusion, and I think someone else has written one fairly recently... I'll see if I can track them down again. I'm glad my writing had such an impact though! Atlantis is my first fandom outside of anime, and it can be a little (read: a lot) intimidating because there're so many phenomenal writers here. So please, flatter away ( ... )
