My first animation of 2008 is finally complete! Earlier in the year, when the new Nine Inch Nails album “Ghosts I-IV” was released, the band announced a
YouTube film festival, where fans are encouraged to pick tracks off the new album and make their own short films to accompany them. This is my entry.

- This is my first animation to not feature elements of (intentional) humour.
- It’s about 3 minutes and 30 seconds long and is safe for viewing at work - although quite why your employers are happy for you to watch cartoons all day is another matter entirely.
- The characters in this film were all hand-drawn on paper and then scanned into the computer, rather than trying to sketch them all out using a mouse, as I’ve done in most of my previous works. This is very time consuming, but worth it, as the end results look far less scribbly.
- The concept is loosely based upon a dream I once had.
- Sharp-eyed Londoners might notice some of the tunnels bear an uncanny resemblance to parts of Turnpike Lane and King’s Cross underground stations.
- The direct link to the film’s YouTube page is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m18S-xArdVE and if you have a YouTube account, you’re pleadingly encouraged to leave it a good rating.
