Pouring Domestos into a pot of Yakult

Friday - After work I met up with Lande and headed down to Croydon, where we then went to see Dara Ó Briain’s live stand up show at the Fairfield Halls with cocked_brow, wormburger and Simon. It was excellent; I’d not been sure what to expect of him live, as I’d previously only known him from hosting Mock the Week on BBC2, but I was very impressed. Afterwards, we all had a drink at The Ship, which is something I’d not done in months and was also kind of refreshing. We stayed over at my parents’ house afterwards.

Saturday - I’d finally tracked down a computer recycling company who’d take my old Mac, so I spent the morning dismantling it ready for collection. In the afternoon, we picked up my grandmother and went for a pub lunch in Oxted, before returning to Wood Green in the early evening for Doctor Who and The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

After going to bed, I dreamt about a restaurant flooding with sea water and catching three baby crayfish in a jar who could speak to me. They told me how to construct a Back To The Future-esque time machine out of a Volkswagen Sirocco, which I launched on its voyage through history from platform 6 at Purley train station with the crayfish on board.

Sunday - Was largely devoted to working on my animation project, which I’m pleased to say is now almost finished. Just another ten, maybe fifteen seconds of footage left to complete… I may just have it done before Whitby. Watch this space. In the evening, we watched Goodfellas - which I’d somehow managed to never watch all the way through before - and went to bed and dreamt the queen had died.

So, back to work today. Things in the office are teetering on the brink of getting very busy again and, for the third time this month, the coffee machine on my floor has broken down. Still, I’m only at work from now until Wednesday, then WGW is upon me. At some point between now and then, I will start to think more seriously about packing.
