I was lucky enough to get to see Clutch play at the Zodiac@Oxford Academy on the 18th. Was also a good excuse to try out my new Flip Ultra video camera. Was a good venue to test it out in as I could get near the front and the sound was superb. If I’d known how well the Flip was going to perform I’d have taken much more footage! Went to exchange my ticket for a wristband on the Thursday and found the signs for the exchange were absolutely dire. In fact we only saw one and the only place you could see it was AFTER you’d been through the exchange tent. Not good enough…

I don’t know why, but after having my rib-cage smooshed to bits by an insanity of bass in a small tent at Reading this year I’ve had a real soft-spot for Hadouken! The past weekend it has to be said, was pretty fucking good. Sunday had a bit of an 'arghhh!' moment, but once I calmed down and things worked out cool.

Saw 300. It's a good film, but it's also an awful film. For pretty fight scenes it's great. For dialogue and un-cheezeyness... it's rubbish! I pissed myself through most of it as the dialogue was ( Read more... )
