I don't know if I trust what the font on this memorial is telling me the name is.

I started walking outside long distances without an ankle brace Thursday, totally without Friday, and today I walked over two miles without a brace and without trouble.
I caught two new Pokémon today but missed another one or two due to them disappearing before I could reach their area. ETA: I picked up a Shellos and female Cherrim tonight, in addition to my earlier Hippopotas and male Cherrim. Walking a total of 4 miles a day on my newly unbraced left ankle is good for it, right?

Yet another longtime local diner closed permanently due to developers. The 50-year-old Kane's Diner--though I only discovered them two years ago--
closed May 1. In this case the Kane family owned their land, but they couldn't pass up $15 million dollars for the property.
It exuded classic diner realness, gave you a lot of good food for the money, and had
a menu that looked like a ransom note.
Diners are far more useful to me than the condominium towers or banks that take their place, so this new loss makes me sad.

NYC mayor Bill de Blasio has finally declared he's running for president after weeks of spending his weekends in states important to a presidential run and he's being publicly dragged by New Yorkers left and right. He sucks to a point that I don't know if it would be a positive or negative that he won't spend much time on NYC issues while pursuing the presidency. Eh, Speaker of the New York City Council Corey Johnson, who has a similar position to the mayor on many issues, is also on my hate list, and he's not going anywhere.

I'm a few episode into watching The Promised Neverland dub on Toonami lately and somewhat enjoying it, though I haven't formed any emotional connection to any of the characters. Ray annoys me because of [spoiler] and his smugness, but that doesn't count in the way I'm talking. I don't want any of the characters to be [spoiler]--except maybe Ray *cough*--but that's just the basic humanity package for me.

I'm annoyed that the current version of my iTunes no longer recognizes my iPod Mini enough to count the songs on them toward "recently played."
