Don't Sympathize With Your Way of Living

Yesterday my head was bothering me as well as my ankle, today my head was killing me and I spent a lot of the day in bed.

Last week I steeled myself to finally call the Montefiore Headache Center in the Bronx, the one that's an hour each way by car and a toll total of $12 or two and a half hours each way by mass transit. I have an appointment now... for December 12, which will also only be a consultation. These folks might turn out to be good or might be yet another disappointment so I'm not getting my hopes up too high. (The Chiari Institute taught me that.)

A while ago my pain management doctor suggested three other neurologists since I'm looking for a new one in the face of Dr. Dingbat's incompetence, and now that I know I won't get to Montefiore until six and a half months from now and I really need a neurologist, today I steeled myself up to call the first one on the list, who also had the highest rating on the internet. (The other two fared much worse on scores on the Internet.) When I tried to make an appointment, the woman setting up appointments asked about my deal so I told her, which she answered with "...the doctor only treats headaches." After that call, I definitely didn't have the strength to try the other two today. I see my pain doctor Wednesday, so I'll talk to him about the three of them (and the latter two's scores) then.
