I dropped a number of TV series this season out of disinterest for what they're currently doing but picked up one I hadn't enjoyed before. It's the current season of Legends of Tomorrow. Some of it still makes me cringe, like poor Gary being a humiliated running joke, but I'm interested in the plotting, the humor is working for me now, I like a lot of the character relationships, the magical fugitives this season have been fun, and Biff Tannen plays Nate's dad. Even the crappy CGI somehow fits.
It helps that they've added John Constantine as a regular. I'm so glad this actor survived the crappy NBC Constantine years ago to get a second life in the Berlanti-verse on The CW because he deserves it.
That said, Legends, how could you do an episode in the British punk scene in 1977 and not have Constantine do any interaction with punks? I mean, really?
