The Sad Kind of Grinding

I fell out of Arrow, The Flash, and Supernatural this season, coincidentally--or not?--all CW shows. With The Flash and especially Arrow the problem was a season-arc villain who's so, so much smarter and so many steps ahead of the protagonists at almost all points, with the protagonists getting few lasting victories, so the season just became more and more of a joyless grind for me. With Supernatural I'm just bored with everything going on, especially Jack.
