Somehow I have ended up with some major Tony Stark stans, which always seems to coincide with Steve Rogers hating, on my Tumblr feed and don't know why. I friended them for other reasons!

Tap Tap Fish has occasional events that allow players to pick up a new bunch of theme fish but some of them are "hidden" and only pop up under a certain set of conditions. After getting frustrated during their spring event, I finally went online to "cheat" by finding out how to get them. It turns out that I've been missing out on a lot because the necessary actions are something nobody would stumble upon by chance. It only took me one week to get all the recent ancient Egypt event items, as opposed to not having the chance to pick up all the spring event stuff. Once the current event ends, I'll probably go back to the sakura theme until the next one arrives because it was so pretty.
I created a Facebook account under a fake name to help with game things. Originally the suggested friends were too close for comfort, apparently based off the e-mail address and phone number FB demanded I give to create an account. Now that I've Friended other Tap Tap Fish players, 98% of them from various Asian countries, I may have thrown Facebook off my trail a bit. (I don't have a Facebook account in my own name, don't post any updates or photos, and didn't download the Facebook app because I learned from the Cambridge Analytica thing.)
The fun thing about Friending other TTF players is not just getting more points but being able to visit their personal aquariums to do so. Some of them are very art directed! The game offers a lot of options for customizations of your aquarium, especially for those willing to spend actual money, which I'm not, which means, among other things, no adorable cats, dogs, pandas, or fennec foxes in scuba gear for me.
