Out of the Loop

Castle: The mystery was kind of fun, but I actually spent most of the episode thinking, "I'm so happy to see these characters again! I missed them!" I love Castle's family and the folks at the precinct. I love how Castle failing to call Beckett over the summer puts him in the doghouse with the entire precinct. Then there was the rolling chair thing with Esposito and Ryan....

Detroit 1-8-7: It's nothing terribly new here, not after decades of cop shows, but I get the feeling that it's trying to be somewhat Homicide: Life on the Streets, which is cool by me. I appreciate the local color bits too, like the scene where looking for a particular kind of bullet for a homicide on the street is like looking for a particular needle in a stack of needles. I loved what they did with that guy who lawyered up. Detective Fitch kills me. I have to watch next week to see if they actually went There with the newbie cop.

Supernatural: "Exile on Main St."

'nat: it's "resurrect men named Sam(uel)" day
Me: I never celebrated that day before.
'nat: very specific holiday
Me: Maybe a bi- or tri-annual holiday?
'nat: hee
Me: Not even Supernatural kills Sam every season.

Seriously, it's like the Sams and the hunters basically came back to make fun of Dean. Yeah, we all knew Sam was alive for the last year. Yeah, we've all been doing the work while you were getting soft and having a "normal" life you didn't even really want most of that year. But Sam kind of wants Dean back because Dean may be soft and sucky about the hunting now but he cares! Just leave behind the people I made hostages to you unprotected! Oh, and Sam has his own car he has his own way, thanks, so don't bother offering the Impala.

And I'm kind of "oh please" about YED returning in Dean's dream/vision. This show does not need another woman dressed in white on a burning ceiling.

It's been a long time since I've loved this show.

Can we put a stop to Betty White showing up everywhere making risqué jokes? The funny of her being an old lady talking dirty wore off a while ago.
