Kingdom Of Lies
For Ryo, the problem with writing letters to Edward was that there was too much he wanted to say at one time. There were too many questions he wanted to ask, too many opinions he wanted to inquire and hear about.
But to put too much in one letter would seem overwhelming, Ryo knew, and so he had to force himself to not spin out of control and he had to scribble out a lot of his words as he was writing. He had to try to not sound confusing and unintelligent, for fear of scaring Edward away--because that was the last thing he wanted. When he was done with some letters, he would have to start with a blank sheet of paper and re-write everything so that it didn't look like he had any problems with his responses. And when he officially sent a letter he would go and start another one about an entirely different subject without waiting for Edward's reply, just so he could have time to make everything perfect for when the topic finally came up.
Looking back now, Ryo despises all that he had done, because he and Edward and all of the letters they had exchanged belonged to a kingdom of lies.
