First Day of Camp
Today was a great first day. I like all the people I'm working with and I got a good group of kids. I have the older ones in the morning (a first) and the younger ones in the afternoon. Because of our new schedule and reduced number of pool days, I end up having my morning class for about four hours and the afternoon one for only two. I wish the morning kids were little, but at least I get to have the older ones before they're tired and cranky.
Logan is back! He's in my afternoon class. That child still brings sunshine into my life! And he seems to be doing better, too. He was able to carry on bits and pieces of conversation with me, which he usually can't do until weeks into camp, and even then only if it's on one of his good days. So I was pleased.
Nothing crazy happened, so I don't have any stories. But they'll come eventually. :D
I'm going to sort through all my old giftcards and see if there are any left with money on them, and then I'm going to buy a new summer wardrobe. I've been at the mall twice since I've been home and there are so many cute things! There are also a lot of ugly things (honestly, WTF is up with this season's fashions?). There were these cool white cargo pants at Express that had silver and gold roses embroidered all down the legs, but they were $60. There were other more inexpensive items, though, especially at cheaper places like JCPenney.
I think the basic WoW plan for the next month or so will be to gear up Vaunia and app to Killer Kittens. Not sure I'll get in, but I've been exploring their site and my chances seem good. I like their players, and while their progression is barely into T5, all I really want is Kara anyway. Plus, they seem super chill. The more I read their guild policies, the more I felt like it was the guild for Vaunia. So we'll see what happens. Rogurt, despite my earlier thinking, is going to remain inactive. I tried Shattered Halls with him and while I was definitely a little rusty, the group I had was so nightmarishly bad ('cept the healer) that it turned me off completely. I don't think the pally knew what AoE meant.
So not an overly exciting update, but an update nonetheless. I want to try to get back into the habit writing in my LJ frequently. KTHXBAI.
