Complaining again
... I only seem to write here when I have something to whine about. WAAAAAAH. Maybe I just need a more positive outlook on things.
Anyway, whine du jour: being sick. Symptoms have been off and on since the middle of last week (sore throat here, congestion and runny nose there, slight fever the other time). Kinda died down yesterday so I thought to myself "hey cool, I didn't actually have to sit around getting hit with a real illness" and went out for Nerd Party™ (pizza, cookies, N64 smash brothers, and a movie, for the record) yesterday.
Well long story short, by the end of it I had a murderously bad headache (which I politely didn't whine about at the time) and bowed out a little early to go home. King of Painkillers™ (Excedrin) made me feel more human once it kicked in after an hour, but I just felt crappier and crappier after I went to bed. You know, one of those nights when you're feverish and your mind - rather than politely and healthily just going to *sleep* - decides to run around in strange circles and thought patterns that don't even have any logical basis? Yeah, one of those. Sucky.
And today, I'm sick (although not as bad as last night, and my brain's decided to resume semi-normal functions, lack of balance and Excedrin-controlled headache notwithstanding). Joy. At least it gets me out of a half dozen classes, though that's a double edged sword because that's a half dozen classes in which I'm now a little behind.
