Fic: Return of the Jedi: Choose Your Own Adventure (Luke, Vader, Palptine - PG)
Did you ever read the Choose Your Own Adventure kids' books? I used to - they used to drive me crazy, trying to find the one story thread that ended positively.
Well, I was watching ROTJ the other day, numb from too much real life stuff and needing escapism. I jotted down a structure for a Choose Your Own Adventure version of the Luke/Vader/Palpatine confrontation on the Death Star ... and, somehow, it got written.
If you haven't read those books then what you need to know is this: you don't read them page by page, but choose your next page according to decisions given to you at the end of each section. So you have a story with mutliple alternate storylines - and hence I think I've created a monster of a ROTJ AU because there's ten different threads.

It is kind of... well, if not quite crack!fic it's definitely a mad idea. Madder than anything else I've done.... It probably reflects my currently exhausted state. But I had a crazy kind of fun writing it and fitting all the pieces together - so I hope someone out there enjoys it.
