It turned out that the crackhead resident in the shelter really was a crackhead! She didn't come home on Wednesday night, so we filed a missing persons report. The police found her in the South End, which is where all of the crack and meth houses in Chillicothe are. So, if you're ever in Chilli and need to buy some drugs... Anyway, she got kicked out of the shelter.
I had a Superman mpreg dream last night. WHY?!!!*scrubs brain*
On to the comics!

Countdown #13 was kind of heart-wrenching for me because of the eventual outcome of the Jason Todd and Earth-51 Batman storyline:
It looks like there are two Batmans, but one of them is Jason in his Red Robin suit.
If nothing else, I guess we learned that Jason still does care for Bruce, no matter how much he may pretend otherwise. I'm still hoping for a reconciliation when Jason gets back to New Earth.
In lighter news, look what DC editor Jann Jones made!
It's to celebrate the new Keith Giffen-penned Ambush Bug series coming out in May. I hear it's going to six issues long, and each issue will focus on mocking one of DC's Big Events: Identity Crisis, Infinite Crisis, 52, Coutdown, and Final Crisis. And, uh, something else. Anyway, sounds good to me!
The Spirit Holiday Special finally came out this week. I thought that the delay was due to the usual things, like the art being late, but I realized differently after I started reading it. One of the stories involved a tiger in a zoo that gets shot, and I'm sure you remember that that really happened in California in December.
There was also a story with HARD-HITTING POLITICAL COMMENTARY by Denny O'Neil, and, my personal favorite, an adorable mostly-wordless story by Gail Simone and the artistic duo of Phil Hester and Ande Parks:
If I were a villainess, I'd make out with The Spirit too, but then I'd try to make him my love slave instead of killing him.
That little "Colt Again" tombstone just cracks me up!
