Make a note of this, guys. Woke up at 8:10, an hour earlier than I meant to, and spent that time working, like the accomplished college student I am. With jittery hands and many thrills, I finished my paper. It clocked in at 32 pages, with a 7 page annotated bibliography. At one o'clock it was turned in. I turned it in with time to spare, and had a lunch geeking out over books with my advisor, then I sold my books, discovered the livejournal of an amazing author, realized it was a sun-shower kind of day, had an L. M. Montgomery moment in the rain, watched a thunderstorm grow around my dormitory while I was snug inside of it, and then I just sat back and let the fact that my semester is over wash over me.
This has been, in all respects, a red-letter day.
Christmas is coming, and it's going to be great.
On the ninth day of finals my paper gave to me
Nine books of canon!
Eight direct quotations!
Seven online essays!
Six further reading!
Five in-ter-views!
Four library books,
Three critic schools,
Two fanfictions,
And an annotated bibliography!
