I just read in the December 2005 Locus that Charlaine Harris has sold the TV rights to her Sookie Stackhouse series. The pilot will be produced for HBO. Sounds interesting, though it might be a bit too reminiscent of Buffy.

I saw this day before yesterday with a friend. My first thought, even before seeing the film, was that I'm probably lucky that it's been so long since I read the book, and then in Swedish which I can read, but will probably miss some nuances, etc. I could watch the film as itself without constant comparison to Diana Wynne Jones's book (which, btw, ( Read more... )
