My most favorite time of the year...

Dec 22, 2014 17:34

So it's Christmas week, eh? I always feel so bittersweet during this week. On one hand, Christmas is my favorite day of the year, December my favorite month... you know the drill. I'm obsessed. But on the other hand, it's about to end. :( I pretty much start my countdown to Christmas the day after Christmas. I'm not even joking either.

For all it's wonder, December hasn't been the kindest to me. I got in a pretty bad car accident last Wednesday, although thankfully I was completely and utterly unharmed. I had just dropped Tony off at his work and was at the stop sign to turn left, and I was behind a box truck (basically a Uhaul, only a business truck instead of moving). In front of us, a FedEx truck with a double trailer turned left into the lane next to us, except he went so fast that he was about to smash the truck in front of me. Me being in a tiny Echo, and the guy in the truck ahead of me not able to see me at all... he backed up right into me. I watched the front end of my dear Derecho get smashed in. -___- The truck was pretty much unharmed, of course... it was huge. I got hit by the large metal frame on the back, which I'm glad was there or the truck would've run me over. The airbags didn't deploy or anything, and I wasn't even jerked that hard, because it was a low impact accident, not much speed. But it did total Derecho. :( He wouldn't move when I tried to pull over a bit to get out of the way, and the engine started smoking, so I just him off immediately. All the fluids were on the ground, too. And, sadly, I'd just filled up the gas the night before. XP

Also, I was wearing the only pink thing I have or wear, my pink kitten pajama pants. Of course. B(

But yea, the police got there and we filed a report and got him towed away. ;__; The guy who hit me was so apologetic, and I wasn't angry at him because I understood what happened and saw it all as well. He also works for Tony's company... it was a truck leaving his warehouse. :| Tony walked up to see the damage, and my friend CJ came and picked me up to take me back home.

So my week has been trying to find rides to and from work, and trying to get to the store, and.... just being carless. I forgot how terrible it is, actually. But at least I was unarmed and I have awesome friends willing to give me rides. <3 I just really miss Derecho. I really, really loved that car. He was kind of like another pet or something. -__-

Also, the living situation has gotten worse. I'm full fledged avoiding Phil now because he's pushed everything past the edge. Basically, he picked the lock to Rachel's room while it was locked, and talked to her for like an hour. And summed up that she had until the end of the month to either move out or have sex with him.

I really wish I was joking. I can't stand to live with a creepy asshole who is threatening my friend. It makes me want to throw up. So we're all getting the hell out of here as soon as possible, which hopefully won't be too long now that I'm done Christmas shopping. We shouldn't have to worry about getting a new car, considering the company's insurance will cover it since it was 100% the other driver's fault, which is a blessing.

However, I've mentioned all this negativity. But there's so much positivity too! There's Willie! He's growing so much. Right now he's a giant muddy fuzzball of clutz. Well, comparatively giant, he's still so little. ;) He's so derpy that I can't stand it sometimes. He likes to slip while running, providing me with some crazy photos. He likes to make absolute derp faces, and bounce around like a derp, and hop up in the air like a derpy kitten.... just so much derp. I'm learning so much with him, though. My friend I mentioned earlier, CJ (I used to work with him back at Petsmart, and we reconnected earlier this year and have been pretty much inseparable), has been helping me train him. I learn something new every time I watch the horses interact, or help CJ work with him, or just go out to the farm period. Right now, it's just the basics of training - halters, brushes, all those difficult things little foals don't like. Little turd.

Speaking of turds, CJ, Mark (the owner of the farm) and myself were standing outside the other day talking, and Mark had his German shepherd Deeder on a leash, and watched two geese fly overhead. Well - one of 'em let loose, and all of us watched the turd fall and twirl about 200 feet before Mark pulled Deeder away at the last second and the turd landed where he'd been standing.

I actually stopped breathing for about 30 seconds because I was laughing so hard. X)

But yea, he's awesome. I love my little dream colt. <3

Anyway, enough gushing. X) I probably won't post again before Christmas, so merry Christmas everyone, and I hope you have a fantastic holiday!
