Rambling thoughts from the middlle of the night
A friend of mine, Yvonne, commented on a pic of mine from my "3 weeks post op" album on Facebook uploaded this evening (or last night, depending on how you view these things).
Yvonne said "You truly are one of the bravest people I have ever known!"
It got me thinking... firstly, thank you for the compliment. Yes, it is very flattering and I get others saying I'm inspirational?! What I inspire I have no idea?! But I do have a lot of love and support and I'm here because I have that love and support from others and I look at others and think "If they can do it then damn it, so will I."
I am not special though, at least no more than anyone else.
There are people the world over who are braver than me. Sometimes, I think all we can do is be as brave as each other. That way, the world is a better place.
"Speak one's truth". Isn't that the thing we should all do? If only we did. If only we listened? Goodness knows that I can be as deaf as the wooden table in front of me right now sometimes.
We all have stuff to face - baggage under the bed - The best thing we can do is face it.
And that is exactly what I'll try to do every day.
Oh, and did I mention I'm a show off! Why else post all these pics? Joking aside though... I think this stuff needs to be seen and that's all there is to it.
