Operation clean up ended today. I vacuumed upstairs in the spare bedroom and in my studio and I sorted Bob's things in my laundry room/back room on the main floor. All done. It's such a relief. The next two days, Bob is off from work so I expect him to kick in and do his part by putting his things away. I hope to get back to cooking. I've been eating nachos and sandwiches everyday and I'm actually sick of it now. I searched for something to cook tonight but we really didn't have anything. :( No word on when my cousin is coming. I don't know if she's driving to Michigan or flying.
I feel a little lost after my focus on cleaning for four days. I'm looking for stuff to do so I took down five of my bird feeders and washed them. I'm letting the seed and suet feeders dry overnight before I put them back out but I refilled the two hummingbird feeders and put them out already. The birds have been staying away. I think they are busy with nesting. We only seem to get ravens or crows, gold finches, grackles, and mourning doves right now. I haven't even seen any sparrows.
I took a break here to get out my new Origami book and try one of the models, the sailboat. Here are some pictures.
You can make a frog, a sailboat, a swan, a fox, or a butterfly. The paper is so pretty! This one has fish on it! The book was super cheap. I don't even remember what I paid for it but I think I got a coloring book and this origami book for $15. I still need to get some pencils or markers for my mandala coloring book.
Unsure what tonight holds. I'm toying with the idea of going grocery shopping to get it over with, so I don't have to do it tomorrow on the holiday. Monday is Memorial Day here. I don't usually do anything for Memorial Day although I observe it quietly. I never understood why stores have sales on a day that we honor servicemen and women who have died. It makes no sense. My maternal grandfather was in the Navy and my paternal grandfather was in the Army. They both died a long time ago although not while on duty.
