Another 50 degree day and I walked around the yard today and picked up some trash, fallen garden planters, and the bell that fell off my yard stake. I also filled up the bird feeders and the birds all came right back to eat. Our daffodils are still not all open yet, so maybe after this week of sun and warmth, they will open. I took the doggies for a little walk down the street. Here is what our neighborhood looks like:
This is at the corner of Potters and Johnson roads about a 1/4 mile from where I live. A farmer owns this little pond next to his house. Every year a pair of geese nest on the small island and this year, there is a pair of mallards too. Often, I see Great Blue Herons fishing in the pond. There is fish in the pond and sometimes, people fish in the pond from land or a small boat.
And surprise! UPS delivered my laptop around 3:45pm today. It was in such a small, light box! I really like it.
I mean, it's a computer. They all kind of look the same. I was able to get it powered up and charge it out of the box. And I connected it to the wireless internet. It will be more fun when I get Linux-Ubuntu installed.
Feeling unsure about the rest of the day. I made up a vegan quinoa with nutritional yeast and steamed broccoli on the side for dinner. It was not a five star meal but I am liking eating healthier. For lunch, I had a piece of bacon and two potato pancakes and it just didn't really do anything for me. Lately, fat free yogurt with granola on top is my crack.
Wednesday's Agenda: Recycling Center or bust. I have so many pieces of cardboard to recycle from that time we bought furniture at IKEA like 3 weeks ago. It is filling up my hallway.
