After spending several hours writing my dialogue for my Hindi final (DONE, thank God), I decided to footle around and indulge in that itunes-shuffle-poem meme that went around awhile ago, as a way of avoiding working on my term papers.
When I was a young one
I heard a dove as I was waking.
Strange how you know inside me -
The mortal world is languishing.
This is what I brought you:
Summer has come and passed;
There will always be
Hello, darkness, my old friend,
You were standing on the sidelines,
I came knocking on your cellar door.
Excuse me but can I be you for a while?
Wash my soul -
So far, so good.
I met her in the springtime
Inch by inch.
What a dream I had -
I’m so tired of being here
And now I’m all alone again.
Remember the feelings,
And if I died today
It came to pass on a Christmas evening.
...that's a lot more coherent than I expected. I like it.
