(no subject)
We arrived home on Friday; I cannot even begin to explain how wonderful it was to see my cats again. Looking back, the week simultaneously felt like it sped and crawled by.
Today (Saturday - it's not Sunday until I go to sleep, damnit!) Otacon and Sas came over for MGS funtimes. I ran out to buy the Twin Snakes since 1] I don't have a fully functional PS1 (busted sound cables) and 2] updated graphics. In the time allotted, we played up to disc 2, which considering it was my first time playing TTS and we spent a lot of time fooling around with the box, is not so bad.
I got to geek out, too. Point out all the little details and explain backstory a bit, bring attention to the things that simply don't make sense. We all got a good laugh at the name "Zanzibar Land" and so on. I love it. We had an excellent time. Gotta plan for another get together so we can troll through disc 2. :)
Otacon lent me Breath of Fire, too, so I'm working my way through 3 games right now! I'm close to the endgame in Black Sigil, I picked up Chrono Trigger DS again to get all 13 endings (just one more!), and now BoF.
Summer, don't end yet!
