(no subject)
Ah! Internet! I have made a fair amount of progress since I departed to my lakehouse vacation!
I made a confession of sorts to Otacon (real name Matthew), and he returned it. Encouragement from his and now my friends kept me from doubting too much, but it's different to hear it from the person themselves.
I also made another step last night, when my drive to apologize for anything and everything led me to telling him pretty much everything. His reaction was amazing and incredibly reassuring. I haven't slept so well in a good week or so!
Unfortunately I still have another ~2 days here on this lake, but on the upside I have tentative plans for Saturday. If all goes well (it probably won't), I'd like to have Otacon and his best friend Sas (short for Sasquatch; real name Jeremy) over for MGS fun times (gonna try to buy The Twin Snakes, as Otacon needs to see his namesake). There's also a gaming/LAN party going on at the Gaylord hotel this weekend, which would be interesting to drop in on for a couple of hours.
I am excited and pleased.
It sounds as though it will rain shortly. That rumbling in the distance could only be thunder. Today is Jon's birthday, and we are having a steak dinner. :)
